After a short break from CVS, I gave in and did a run

I paid $17.80 / $6.71 was in tax! / $6 overcharged / $12 in ECB from Gillette Fusion and Physcians Formula

After I was reimbursed my $6 I paid $11.80 and SAVED $105.34 plus I received $12 in ECB's!

I hadn't done a CVS trip in a long time because I keep having issues there. And what do you know....had issues again today! Now I know why I stopped going there. But hey I kicked ass on my deal and saved a ton so POOP ON THEM! LOL

I got the Fusion razor for free and got a $5 ECB / The Physcians Formula was a BOGO + $3/1 and I got a $7 ECB (I actually had overage. BOGO coupon was rang up as $13.90 then the $3 off coupon. Coupon wouldn't scan, the max value of the BOGO was $13.86 so she was just going to give me $13 off. But I questioned her and she gave me an extra .90cents. Yes I know it's just .90cents but it all adds up!)

No sleepy meds for this girl!

I have had trouble sleeping for a very long time! My mind races and I can't stop thinking. Thinking about this and that and then all of a sudden it's 3a.m.! I normally play my DSi or play games on my iPad. I had tried sleeping pills such as: Seraquil, Zzquil and Advil P.M. But I don't like how they can be habit forming. And that Seraquil knocked me out for 2 days! YES 2 DAYS! So my therapist recommended some herbal drops. Bach White Chestnut and Valerian Root. They are a bit pricey, but they last a long time! I believe it was around $30 for both bottles. The valerian root is a bit stinky, but you get used to it. The valerian root is 100% gluten free. Here is the recipe for the cocktail (given to me by my therapist):

Bach White Chestnut
5 drops in 2oz of water / sip slowly

Valerian Root (liquid)
1 dropper full in 4oz of warm water / sip slowly

Valerian Root: Valerian may be indicated for the relief of insomnia, stress-related anxiety, and nervous restlessness. It may also be used to ease stomach and menstrual cramps, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), some of the restlessness that accompanies attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and migraine symptoms. And, more rarely, it may be used to treat convulsions from a seizure disorder. In its most well-documented use, however, it is used as a calmant to help people sleep.

Safety, Side Effects and Warnings:

The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) gives valerian a class 1 safety rating, indicating that it is a safe herb with a wide dosage range.

Some people, however, experience adverse reactions to valerian. Rather than feeling the calming or sleep-inducing effects, they suddenly feel nervous, anxious and restless after taking the herb and may experience heart palpitations.

*Taken from Insight Journal

White Chestnut: is the remedy for unwanted thoughts and mental arguments that intrude into the mind and stop us concentrating.

*Taken from The Bach Centre

Although I do this little cocktail nightly I thought I would try something new. I found Celestial Seasoning Honey Vanilla Chamomile tea at Walmart for around $2.50. I added 6 drops of Bach White Chestnut to the tea and a packet of Sweet and Low. Within an hour I couldn't keep my eyes open! I was so tired!! D and I were going to buy a movie from Cox on Demand and I said no because I was so tired. I haven't felt that tired in a long time! I slept so good that night, heck I didn't want to wake up. I didn't feel groggy the next day, like you do when you take prescription or over the counter drugs.

I would recommend trying these few herbal remedies before going for the habit forming ones.

8 Transactions and 4 Hours Later.......

My sis and I went couponing today, we left my house at 10:30 and didn't leave the grocery store til 4! We had no idea what time it was! WOW!!!!Yes we are crazy! But it was so worth it! In order for all coupons to be scanned and to make sure we follow the rules we had to do multiple transactions. I did 8 small transactions, I think my sis did 4. We had to seperate everything into their certain piles and make sure the coupons being used were with that pile. WHEW! A LOT OF WORK BUT IT ALL PAYS OFF IN THE END! It helps also when you have awesome cashiers. We went to self checkout, but the cashier who scanned our coupons was super friendly and helpful.

Asian Style Morning Star dinner

I signed up with a company called BzzAgent. Such a great company that gives you an opportunity to try out new products, absolutely free. I have had the chance to try out Glade Expressions, Neutrogena Hand Cream and a few others. My recent campaign was Morning Star Burgers. I have had these before and was excited to receive this campaign! I am not a vegetarian, but I am a very picky eater especially when it comes to meat.

Their are so many ways you can cook these patties....at least I think so. I heated 2 patties in the microwave for about 2 1/2 minutes. I put the patties on top of my bed of rice and had (2) veggie egg rolls as my side. I drizzled soy sauce on top and whala dinner was done! It was so good, you couldn't tell it wasn't meat! Even though the patties are a bit thin and small, this meal filled me up! Great way to start eating better. Only complaint I had was that the patties dried up a bit on the edges. I had to cut the edges off and just eat the inside.

Either way, I will continue buying these scrumptious patties and share my $1 off coupons with my friends.

$5 Chinese dinner for 2, cheaper than take out!

Dinner was around $5 tonight! It filled us both up!

Chicken - $3 for two large boneless skinless chicken breasts
Chungs Egg Rolls - $1 for a box of 4
Sun Bird Lettuce Wrap Seasoning - FREE
Success Rice - $1 ?? I bought a 6ct box for around $5 I think

This is what the packets of seasoning look like. They are with the Asian/Chinese etc foods in the supermarket (I don't know which is which lol) They run around 80cents a packet. I found a coupon which made it free!

The egg rolls were $1.99 and of course I had a coupon for that! haha

Tony's Pizza & Dr. Pepper Deal

**Not pictured: (14) Pork Chops ; Right now at Fry's they are BUY ONE GET ONE FREE and I had $3 off $10 in meat and my $3 OYNO coupon so I scored on meat today! Also not pictured (2) 12 pack Bounty paper towels**

(CVS and Fry's)

Today my sister and I found an awesome peelie! *Peelies are the sticker like coupons you can find on various products throughout the store* Once we saw this peelie we were in immediate coupon high mode! haha

Coupon reads: SAVE $2 NOW ON (2) DR. PEPPER 2 LITERS(REG OR DIET) WHEN YOU ALSO PURCHASE (1) FRESHCETTA, RED BARON OR TONY'S PIZZA **THERE IS NO SIZE RESTRICTION ON WHAT SIZE OF PIZZA**

Right now at Fry's SINGLE SERVE Tony's pizza is $1 or the LARGE size pizza is $1.99 and when you purchase $10 in Tony's LARGE size pizza's you get a $2 On Your Next Order coupon. (Other brands were included as well, but it had to be the large size pizza)

Dr. Pepper is priced 4/$5 making them $1.25 each

Deal Idea:

(5) Large size Tony's pizza
(10) Dr. Pepper 2 liters

= $12.50 then you will recieve a $2 OYNO

OR

(5) Single serve Tony's pizza
(10) Dr. Pepper 2 liters

= $7.50 then you will recieve a $2 OYNO

You can find these peelies on Red Baron and Freshcetta pizza's. I have found peelies at Walmart and Fry's.

This trip above I SPENT $56.28 and SAVED $150.36; I recieved a $3 OYNO (my Catalina didn't print when I had bought the pizza's so the cashier didn't look much into it and just gave me a $3 Catalina yay me!) $1.85 overage (I purchased FREE items at Fry's and my balance came up to -$1.85. I know they don't give you the money but this cashier did) and because I shopped at CVS I recieved a $5 Extra Care Buck.

Neutrogena Hand Cream

I love being a Bzz Agent, you get to try out various products that you may normally not buy. I recently got to try the Neutrogena Hand Cream and LOVE it! I have OCD and am constantly washing my hands! The hand cream takes a little bit of massaging to get it to set it, but its worth it! My hands haven't felt this soft in a long time! You can't tell I wash my hands a million times! I just did a manicure and put a really cool design on my nails, this hand cream will keep my nails looking even better!
